Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Forsyth Medical Center  – Winston-Salem, North Carolina

US Air Force Medical Officer Arthur John Greenwood is an OBGYN, who has treated thousands of civilian patients  in North Carolina, both while he was an OBGYN Resident at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem North Carolina from 2009 through 2012.  Patients would  know my husband as Dr. Arthur John Greenwood.  While moonlighting illegally from 2005 through 2015, Dr. Arthur John Greenwood treated thousands of civilian patients in medical clinics all across North Carolina, including medical clinics staffed by Physicians Solutions, Carolina Locum Resources, and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

The risk to patients and the medical malpractice exposure discussed below can easily include over 25,000 patients, and may not be discovered for 10 to 20 years.

Dr. Karen Gerancher was (and may still be)  the OBGYN Residency Director at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

My husband – USAF Medical Officer Maj. Arthur John Greenwood  – was an OBGYN Resident under the direct supervision of Dr. Karen Gerancher from 2009 until 2012.

Even though he has been a USAF Officer since 1999, as an OBGYN Resident in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Program – Arthur would have been known to Wake Forest BMC patients and Forsyth Medical Center patients as Dr. Arthur John Greenwood.

From 2009 -2012 Dr. Arthur John Greenwood was allowed to treat thousands of OBGYN patients at both Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

These two hospitals treat the vast majority of OBGYN patients in the Winston -Salem, North Carolina area.

From at least 2007 to May of 2015, Dr. Greenwood also treated thousands of North Carolina civilian patients in medical clinics that used the medical staffing services of companies Physicians Solutions and Carolina Locum Resources, dba CLR.  There are dozens of emails over the years between Arthur and these two experienced medical staffing companies.  I would imagine a prosecutor could easily find evidence of what these companies knew about Dr. Greenwood’s USAF contractual obligations and the contractual obligations imposed by the contract Arthur signed with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as an OBGYN Resident.  I wonder if these very experienced medical staffing companies  have a long history of hiring Medical Residents and or Military Officers that they know are moonlighting without permission.  I think that possibly someone should make some inquiries about what these medical staffing businesses knew and ignored, and why.

The risk to patients and the medical malpractice exposure discussed below can easily include over 25,000 patients, and may not be discovered for 10 to 20 years.

I am not an attorney, but it seems clear as day that Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center had  huge exposure here for medical malpractice claims, and will have for the next ten to twenty years.  The politicians and military medical doctors who ignored what Arthur did can not be sued, but Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and possibly Carolina Locum Resources and Physicians Solutions can be held accountable for what they knew, and for their failure to act.   And the class is potentially every single civilian in North Carolina who was ever treated by Dr. Arthur John Greenwood. I am not a member of this putative class.

But I have made Wake Forest aware of their exposure and liability. What they do is up to them.

And I have seen a personal email to Dr. Arthur John Greenwood from Ms. Courtney Shade of Carolina Locum Resources on October 5, 2015 (at the bottom of the page) which seems to indicate on its face that Ms. Shade is still in personal contact with Dr. Arthur John Greenwood, and even opens the possibility that Ms. Shade has direct knowledge of Arthur’s  treatment for tonsil cancer.  Given that I had been told that Dr. Greenwood had finally been ordered to stop moonlighting in approximately May or June of 2015, there would not be a professional reason for Dr. Arthur  Greenwood to disclose to Ms. Shade that he had a rare cancer – which is related to heavy drinking, oral sex and STDs. Arthur’s successful chemo and radiation treatment for  this cancer  may be  the reason for the personal concern expressed by Ms. Shade on October 5, 2015.

As an OBGYN Resident Dr. Arthur John Greenwood was allowed to treat thousands of OBGYN patients at both Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Forsyth Medical Center, which included allowing Dr. Arthur Greenwood to operate on patients in extremely high risk medical emergencies, where the life of both the mother and the child were at risk, when Dr. Arthur Greenwood was lying to the program about the number of hours he was working.  Going back to 2007 Arthur John Greenwood was moonlighting illegally (to fund Arthur’s obsession with breeding horses and dogs, and his secret life style of debauchery and adultery.

Moonlighting of any kind was strictly forbidden by the contract he had signed with the Wake Forest Residency Program.  Here is a link to the website made for the United States Air Force Investigation of Arthur Greenwood in January of 2015,  which includes documents related to his illegal moonlighting including the 1099’s and Federal Income Tax Returns he filed with the IRS.

I believe that Dr. Karen Gerancher had the ability to discover the illegal conduct of her OBGYN Resident Dr. Arthur John Greenwood years ago, and simply failed to act.  I discuss this on January 18, 2016 in a phone call with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Risk Management – which is recorded below.  In this call, the incident I reference related to the arrest of Dr. Karen Gerancher’s husband was in the news. Here is a link to just one of many news article about Dr. Gerancher’s husband.

Even after graduating the OBGYN Residency Program at Wake Forest Baptist University in 2012, the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center OBGYN Residency Program continued to have ties to Dr. Arthur Greenwood’s  his employment in hospitals all across the United States, if only because employers seek out the opinions of the applicant’s Residency Program as part of their hiring criteria.  Also, after graduating his OBGYN Residency  in 2012 Dr. Arthur John Greenwood worked for clinics in North Carolina staffed by and or owned by the corporation which also owns the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Dr. Arthur John Greenwood was allowed to continue to treat North Carolina civilians in medical clinics across North Carolina through May of 2015

Below in two parts are videos of recordings of a phone conversation I had on January 18, 2016 with Mr. Tim Haueck who was represented to me as being with Risk Management with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  I had first contacted Wake Forest on this issue back in November of 2015.
