UK magazine distributed in England. Australia and New Zealand.
Cooldanz’s rider in the cover photo is
Elly Schobel. Cooldanz is by Hilltop Farm’s
Caprimond son
Contucci.
Cooldanz was bred by Izabela Jedral of Brandywine Maryland USA
(see our sales page for Ms. Jedral's contact information) and is out of
Ms. Jedral's branded
Oldenburg Main Mare Book mare Dressen Fancy (who is currently in
foal to Sandro Hit for 2006).
4 Mar 2006:
Just giving you a quick update. Cooldanz has started
to be ridden and he is truly fantastic, he is unbelievably well
schooled and so well behaved , it is hard to believe he hasn’t been
ridden for 2 months , he’s an absolute saint. It such a shame we
have to send him off to training as we enjoy him so much having him
so close to home, being able to nip across the road whenever I want,
to see him. But he won’t be putting pintos on the map there so
unfortunately he will have to go out there and show everyone what he
is made of, and make us all proud ( or should I say make all the
pintos out there proud). Just to finish I would like to add what an
amazing job Ellie has done with this horse, it will give him a
massive advantage for the future.

Cooldanz
was trained by Elly Schobel. Elly
Schobel was the winning rider of the 2004 North American
Breeders Futurity on her six year-old AWR gelding Raison d'Etre. Elly's superb care and her skill, dedication
and discipline allowed Cooldanz to blossom in training,
fulfilling all the promise of his pedigree.

At the time of his sale to
England, Cooldanz and Elly were on track to compete in 2006 at First
Level Test One in preparation for the Four
Year-Old Championships in Lexington Kentucky and and the
Four Year-Old North American Breeders Futurity (NABF) at
Devon, PA as well as the Four Year-Old Dressage Futurity in
2006.
Photos above taken by Elly
Schobel in mid September 2005. Elly
always referred to Cooldanz as The Cool One (TCO).
Cooldanz's
dam Dressen Fancy (pictured left with her 2004 Rosenthal
filly), is a Main Mare Book Oldenburg mare, branded with the
Oldenburg O and Crown in 1995. Dressen Fancy was a
PREMIUM GOV - Oldenburg Registry North America filly
who went on to be the GOV ~ Oldenburg Registry North
America 1995 Reserve North American Foal Champion. In
2005 Dressen Fancy's Sandro Hit colt Sandanz was awarded PREMIUM
(with an 8.5 for movement) and went on to be named Colt Champion
at his Oldenburg Registry North America ~ Mare Foal Inspection
held on July 26, 2005 at Silverwood Farm. Dressen Fancy's dam is
also the dam of the 2005 Colt Champion at Hilltop Farm.
Dressen Fancy is by Duellglanz (Han) who sired the winner
of the the 2002 One Hundred Days Test and many other FEI horses.
Cooldanz is by the
Elite Hanoverian Stallion Contucci (Caprimond/Lungau/Akzent
II.)
Cooldanz's sire Contucci (Hanoverian owned by Hilltop Farm), is
the top producer in the
US
for the 3rd year in a row, producing nearly double the number of
USDF/Cosequin Champions than any other stallion, domestic or
imported. Contucci's sire
Caprimond is ranked #1 on the VhW "Jahrbuch's" ranking of
stallions for production of "Type." He is also listed as #11 on
their ranking of dressage sires (500 stallions ranked). Reserve
Champion at the 1987 stallion approvals in Neumunster, Caprimond
later became Champion of his 100-Day test in Adelheidsdorf with
a dressage index of 147.76. At the very early age of seven,
Caprimond was successfully partaking in FEI dressage competition
and had a successful career at Grand Prix.
As a
breeding stallion, Cooldanz provides new world-class bloodlines
to pinto breeding. He is not related to Samber (or Samber's dam
Tina). Therefore he is not related to Art Deco, Ico, Rainbow,
Sempatico or any Samber line decedents. Cooldanz can be
safely bred to virtually every colored SportHorse mare in the
world.
So, here's to Cooldanz's future, while looking back with a
smile...
